THE JUNGLE GIANTS

Australian Tour Update

.

A message from the band:

Hey family, we’re devastated to have to postpone the ‘Love Signs’ Australian tour.

We’ve been dreaming of playing these songs to you live even before recording the album, but the reality at the moment is with multiple ongoing lockdowns and lingering national restrictions, it’s not possible for us to do. The day WILL come. We just have to ensure everyone’s safety for the moment.

For now, the album is OUT and waiting for ya, and we’ve got a lot more time to learn the lyrics.

Including Sam ❤️❤️

Tickets will be valid for the new dates.

If you can’t make the new dates, refunds are available. Details on the refund process will be outlined in an email you will be sent.

These are still the hottest tix in town baby, and shows are close to capacity so prepare yourself for maximum turbo energy.

We love y’all, see you soon ❤️

THE JUNGLE GIANTS
debut at #1
on the ARIA albums chart with
fourth album ‘LOVE SIGNS’

The Jungle Giants have taken out the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart on debut with their fourth album Love Signs.

“We’ve been a super tight team with our manager Stu since we were just kids. We set the goal to be completely Independent in order to make the albums we wanna make. It’s incredible to be sitting here today knowing that our record Love Signs just went number 1 on the ARIA albums chart. A childhood dream come true.” – Sam Hales, The Jungle Giants

The 10-track album has captured the hearts of fans and media alike, including being awarded a coveted Feature Album on triple j. The result is all that more impressive as they are a 100% independent band and have beaten many major label artists to claim the spot. They have also claimed the #1 Vinyl and #1 Australian Artist Album position.

This is the band’s highest position on the ARIA Albums Chart, with the previous album Quiet Ferocity reaching #11 on release in 2017.

To celebrate the album release and to share love and support to anyone who needed it, last weekend the band sent a skywriter up into the sky above Brisbane, leaving cryptic love hearts for all to see and claim. See here.

A highly anticipated album, Love Signs was written and produced solely by lead singer Sam Hales, and features fan favourites ‘Heavy Hearted’, ‘Sending Me Ur Loving’, ‘In Her Eyes’, ‘Treat You Right’ and recently released title track ‘Love Signs’.

Along with physical and non-verbal displays of affection, modern-day love signs take the form of texts, tweets and tags. Lead singer Sam Hales elaborates, “It’s about these little messages we send each other, love signs.”

After completing a world tour in early 2020, The Jungle Giants returned to Australia at the same time the pandemic hit, forcing everyone into strict lockdown. For Hales, the timing couldn’t have been better, providing the push he needed to properly go it alone creatively.

Not only was making this album “really self-affirming” for Hales, it’s also shaping up to be The Jungle Giants’ most successful. The first single ‘Heavy Hearted’ went ARIA-certified Platinum and won the fiercely competitive Queensland Music Awards “2020 Song of the Year”. Follow-up ‘Sending Me Ur Loving’ was praised by KCRW for its “exquisite hooks and pristine production”, while “groove-heavy” third single ‘In Her Eyes’ was lauded by NME. All three singles have also placed in Triple J’s Hottest 100, with both ‘Heavy Hearted’ and ‘Sending Me Ur Loving’ placing 8th in consecutive years; making a total of seven consecutive songs that have made the list.

Not that these are The Jungle Giants’ first accolades— as mentioned their third album Quiet Ferocity peaked at #11 on the ARIA charts and won AIR Awards’ “Best Independent Album or EP” and Queensland Music Awards’ “Album of the Year.” Previous singles ‘Feel The Way I Do’ and ‘Used To Be In Love’ certified Platinum, with ‘Bad Dream’ and ‘On Your Way Down’ certified Gold.
