Sydney-based Artist Services agency Good Intent have just announced new management signing 90ivy (formerly ‘The Flowers’), as well as their inaugural ‘Greater Good’ initiative – a program that gives back to the independent artist community, by providing in kind services and a cash grant totalling $10,000 AUD.

90ivy is a Sydney-based four-piece indie-rock band that write “happy-sad songs for happy-sad people”. Maiden single ‘Truly Madly Sleepy’ and single ‘You Don’t Say!’ were both added to rotation on triple j. Their releases have also seen extensive support from Spotify, Apple Music and online tastemakers NME, The Guardian and Life Without Andy.

“To be honest, it was a tough decision!” the band comments. “We really took our time deciding which agency we would be fortunate enough to move forward with. In the end, we were moved by Rob and Nick’s passion, integrity and commitment in their pursuit of working with us. These guys are hungry, ambitious and we’re confident they’re going to kick some serious goals“ they continue.

The new signees will release their new single ‘Now or Later’ on Friday September 10. They join current management clients Bootleg Rascal, Close Counters, Down For Tomorrow and FANGZ.

The agency’s new initiative ‘Greater Good’ is a program designed to provide a launchpad for exceptional emerging artists, by utilising Good Intent’s Artist Services’ pro-bono and a cash grant of $2,000 AUD to help further develop their career.

The Artist Services’ contribution will cover Artist Management Consultation, PR, Radio Plugging, DSP servicing, Digital Marketing and Label Services. Through their sister company Good Loco, the offering will also include release asset creation with in-house photographer Rhys Bennett (Polish Club, Kingswood, Totally Unicorn) and independent Graphic Designer / Illustrator and long-time collaborator Ben Mitchell (Bootleg Rascal, Down For Tomorrow).

“I’ve had an idea to do something like this for years, and now at Good Intent / Good Loco, it feels like we’re in a solid place to give back more to our community” says Artist and Label Services Manager Rick Bridgman. “Collectively, the team and I have learned from some of the country’s best people in the music business, worked with a heap of incredible artists and now it’s our time to pay that forward and help bring through the next gen of artists he continues.

Good Intent first launched in late-2018 and offers a range of services across artist management, PR, radio plugging, tastemaker club and radio promotions, playlist pitching, digital marketing, worldwide blogs and label services.

Current and previous PR and Label Services clients include the likes of BMG, Sony, Universal, Handsome Tours, Astral People, Chugg Music, Greyscale Records, Vicious Recordings, American Hi-Fi (USA), Bas (USA), Freddie Gibbs (USA), Bag Raiders, Pacific Avenue, A.GIRL, Gyroscope, Harts, Citizen Kay and RedHook.
