More than 2.5 million votes were submitted this year!
25 artists will be making their Hottest 100 debut
8 songs in the countdown were uploaded to triple j Unearthed this year
A f*cked up year: you’re gonna hear 102 f-bombs across the countdown (as many as the last two countdowns combined)
Despite being the middle of winter here, August was the Hottest month, with the most amount of entries
3 artists will join the 15-Songs-Or-Over Club across all Hottest 100 annual countdowns
That’s all we can reveal for now… To find out more, tune into triple j tomorrow from 10am local time, as we get the party started by playing you tracks that landed at 200-101. Then we’ll see you from 12pm AEDT on Saturday 22 Jan as we get stuck into the Hottest 100 songs of the year!
You can listen to the Hottest 100 on the triple j app (iPhone and Android), FM radio, digital radio and on triple j’s website, and follow along with us via Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Twitter. After the countdown, you can chuck on our Hottest 100 playlists on Apple Music, YouTube and Spotify.
Then on Sunday 23 January, go back in time with Double J for the Hottest 100 of 2001. Relive Hottest 100 history as you recover from the day before!
triple j is working with Lifeline for this year’s Hottest 100 to help them connect with more young people who are struggling. Join us by making a donation or buying this year’s Hottest 100 t-shirt!

#Hottest100
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
