Sultry, seductive vibes pulsate in Stephh V’s latest song “Attract” which burns with such a slow intensity that it may warrant a fire warning. The queer song is a low-down sensual tune about the game of attraction embracing 90s R&B slow jams but with Stephh V’s unique style.

Stephh V who was formerly known as Stephh Versace is a versatile writer, singer, rapper and producer from Sydney. Her need to be resourceful has resulted in the artist producing music with her distinctive flavour. So “Attract” immediately comes across as raw and without pretence, giving Stephh V the space to lay back and riff with a relaxed flow. The song begins with a jazzy down-tempo guitar and bass like the songs of the 1990s by Silk and Jodeci and the use of a trap beat freshens up the cut giving a rhythm for Stephh V to be lyrical around. The sound isn’t for the uninitiated, this song is definitely for the lovers out there and whilst the song’s tempo essentially remains the same throughout it’s Stephh V’s vocals that keep us hooked and interested.

With lyrics like, “If she got a back, I’mma grab it, out of habit. Only deal with honeys that come automatic. I won’t tolerate if she’s combative” and “vibin’, groovin’, improvin’, I’m her master so she’s a student. Set the tone right so she can loosen”, you’ll need a cool glass of water nearby. Stephh V is unafraid and confidently exudes herself as a hedonistic being. There’s no denying “Attract” is alluring and draws you in lulling the listener with its smooth groove and delicious beats. For lovers, and lovers of R&B, hip hop or new-soul “Attract” is Stephh V being her authentic self whilst delivering a soulful expression of sensuality.
