George Alice has sent her highly anticipated debut EP Growing Pains out into the world today. The EP contains singles ‘Hold On’, ‘Mid Years’, ‘Teenager’, ‘Stuck in a Bubble’ and her triple j unearthed high winning track ‘Circles’. To date the tracks from the EP have amassed over 25 million streams combined.
The EP was produced by Japanese Wallpaper (Allday, MAY-A, Mallrat, Rostam), Ethan Gruska (Phoebe Bridgers, Remi Wolf) and Xavier Dunn (Client Liaison, Jack River, Carla Wehbe).
Says George of the EP: “I like to think of the Growing Pains EP as a passport of my teenage years. every place I’ve been, emotion or journey I’ve been through has been stamped in this body of work in just a few songs. I think it was really important for me to put these songs out now, I waited until the time felt right. I’ve grown so much over these past few years, this EP is definitely a reflection was who I wanted to be when I was younger and I think that’s really special to be putting out for everyone to hear. Growing up is never easy, I’d be lying if I said differently, but it has been incredible getting to capture those moments in these songs.
It’s a bite size piece of work that showcases everything I’ve been since I was 15, to hear the songs I’ve been playing at my shows for the last few years and the songs that really made me fall in love with making music.”
Focus track today, ‘Haunted‘ is a slow burning ode to lost love with expansive vocals and intoxicating melodies.
George Alice will hit the road on a headline tour taking in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and her hometown Adelaide this coming May before she hits the Splendour in the Grass stage in July.
This will follow on from supporting Allday, The Veronicas and Amy Shark at various shows around the country.
With a triple j Unearthed High-winning debut ‘Circles’ in her stride, the last two years have been big for 18-year-old George Alice. Officially signing a global deal with US label Loma Vista Recordings (Denzel Curry, St. Vincent, soccer mommy), George has gone on to make a splash with 5 x tracks added into high rotation at triple j, has graced the cover of Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’, been spun by Elton John on his Rocket Hour and amassed over 25 million streams. One of Australia’s fastest rising pop exports, catch George on tour this year with ALLDAY, Amy Shark, The Veronicas and at Splendour In The Grass 2022.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
