Making 2022 their year, Gold Coast’s favourite 5 piece Radolescent have delivered yet another energetic sing-along, ‘Pity Party’. Currently on the tour of a lifetime, Radolescent have been playing sold-out rooms around the country with Brisbane rockers, Beddy Rays, and energetic Melbourne duo, Sophisticated Dingo.
Pity Party delivers the bands first release since recording together as a five-piece. Rachel debuts on lead vocals and the band pair high energy guitars with honest lyrics, creating another party-starting sing-along track with a moody and broody undertone.
Pity Party is about the daunting self awareness of not always belonging. Whether it’s in a party where you find yourself alone, or the changing of relationships as new friends become old. This track is a celebration of the realisation that maybe loneliness, although terrifying, can also be “just quietly” pretty rad.
Pairing up with Brock Weston of Bugs at Brock’s Place studio, the band has evolved their rambunctious punk sound into a refined high energy punk anthem. With Isaac Atkinson delivering hard hitting punk tones through the chorus and bridge, Pity Party may hit you where it hurts but will have you belting along all the same. Utilising high paced drums, fast fills, hooky licks, catchy lyrics and dynamic guitars, Radolescent are more than pumped to serve you a new foot to the floor single.
As well as touring the country with the Beddy Rays, the Gold Coaster’s have also set the stage for the likes of Dune Rats, Ruby Fields, Bad//Dreems and The Chats. Despite the pandemic, 2021 for Radolescent was a year full of headline shows and festival slots, as well as the release of their EP, Excellent People, which soon became a Triple J Unearthed favourite, as well as debuting on the airwaves during Home and Hosed.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
