Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, producer and musician, GALE (pronounced GAH-leh) releases an explosive and fun, yet brutally honest, self-aware break-up anthem; “Inmadura” (“Immature”), a debut single and music video out today via Sony Music Latin :: watch HERE :: that asks listeners to accept and embrace their emotions, even after a break up!

This is not the first time you’ve heard GALE, who showcases her knack for co-penning strong world renowned female anthems for artists like Christina Aguilera, Anitta, Shakira, and Cardi B, to name a few, and walked the red carpet as a guest at this year’s Billboard Women In Music, but it is the debut of GALE’s vibrant solo project with her captivating voice and penetrating gaze.

“Inmadura” highlights GALE’s unmistakeable, empowering and rebellious vocals, all while paying homage to her Puerto Rican roots. Written by GALE alongside Dani Blau and Vibarco, and co-produced and DallasK, and Josh Berrios on production, and recorded at Miami’s iconic Criteria Recording Studios, it’s a song that unifies the complexity of real-life moments presented through emotion, with powerful pop melodies and nuances of the urban sounds.

The lyrics tell the story of a young woman who is going through a breakup and knows that she is being immature but is sensitive enough to know that she needs an emotional release and to go out partying with friends: “Que me digan inmadura, ya sé, va una semana que no llego a la casa, no me lo digas ya sé que estoy borracha”. (Let them call me immature, I know. It’s been a week since I’ve gone home. Don’t tell me, I know I’m drunk.)

As GALE observes, “It describes that phase of the breakup that focuses on denial of what is happening, even if it was you who made the decision to end things. It stems specifically from seeking to understand that the relationship is over, but you are not ready to accept it. You come to realize that it will take time to get that love out of your heart.”

In the video for “Inmadura,” we are familiarized with GALE’s assertive personality, style and edge. The visuals contrast the seriousness of her feelings with her passionate need to move on from a relationship in the company of friends, strangers and alcohol.

No stranger to the starring role, GALE performed in musical theater productions during her academic years. GALE studied classical music, guitar and singing at the Escuela Libre de Música de Puerto Rico while performing leading roles at the professional level.

GALE’s talent for song composition shines in her unique ability to transcribe her own stories and emotions, as well as those of others, into words and melodies. Her longtime idol Christina Aguilera recently released “Santo” with Ozuna, a song which she co-wrote. GALE also co-wrote Joel DELEŌN’s current hit “Coco,” with additional writing credits extending across Latin music luminaries and genres, including Anitta, Shakira, Juanes, Pharrell Williams, Cardi B, Lele Pons, Manuel Turizo, David Bisbal, Greeicy, Pablo Alborán, Myke Towers, Wisin & Yandel, among others.

“Inmadura” represents the start of GALE’s story as an artist and the launch of her international career.
