Lords of the low-end, Walker & Royce, enlist hip-hop queen Sophiegrophy for the self-assured heater ‘No Drama’, out now via Club Sweat. In true Walker & Royce fashion, the pair impart their glorious glitch laden techniques onto a dark canvas complete with thumping bass energy and pulsating synth swirls. Sirens distort and oscillate throughout in a most sophisticated manner, demonstrating Walker & Royce’s production prowess and depth of experience. Increasing in intensity, the surging soundscape converges into the upper frequencies ready to set the room alight, only for Sophiegrophy to enter and stake her claim as master of the dance floor with her ever-evocative and rousing vocals. ‘No Drama’ is the mantra, and this all-powerful trio are here to make sure you live it.
Speaking to the new single Walker & Royce note, “We started the track before touring started up again. It took us some time to refine it and get it dialled in since we weren’t able to play it out. Sophie worked her magic once it was ready and put into words what we were all thinking and feeling. It’s always a pleasure working with Sophie, she is so talented.”
Sophiegrophy sums it up short and sweet, “We are having fun all year, no chit-chat, no back & forth, no drama”.

Nigerian born, New Zealand raised, Naarm/Melbourne based artist Sophiegrophy is no stranger to the dance floor as she makes massive strides through the new wave hip-hop and underground club scene. Having already partnered with Walker & Royce on ‘All For The Gram’, the electricity in their collaborative work and Sophiegrophy’s ability to command a tech-fuelled crowd is undeniable. She has levelled up with appearances via Acclaim, Complex AU and Nike, as well as holding solid positions in all of the major national hip-hop and viral chart playlists over a multitude of genre defining trap anthems including ‘Bag’ and ‘Fa$t Life’. With features on future-forward club tracks from J. Worra, Codes and Taiki Nulight, Sophiegrophy is certainly making her mark. On the live front, she has performed at Rolling Loud Festival, the national The Grass Is Greener and Festival X tours, as well as Brunswick Music Festival and Tasmania’s Faux Mo. For Sam Walker and Gavin Royce, the question is the fundamental test of their studio output – simple as it may sound, for this perfectionist pair it’s anything but. Their innate dance floor intuition, combined with years of experience behind the decks, drives them to create music that isn’t just playable, it’s irresistible. Born out of New York City’s early aughts, Walker & Royce first teamed up for a remix in 2011. The indie dance and deep house sounds that informed their earliest work soon gave way to something different. Quirky accents and bouncy synths, previously deeper in the mix, leapt to the forefront, backed by a propulsive new energy. Meticulously crafting their sound has led to collaborations with Claude Vonstroke, Ardalan, Chris Lake and VNSSA just to name a few, as well as remixes for Channel Tres, LP Giobbi, The Knocks, Justin Jay, Gorgon City, and Mindchatter. With releases on Relief, Black Book, HotBOi Records and their ‘Rave Grave’ EP as the inaugural release on Diplo’s house-focused imprint Higher Ground, they have truly honed their one-of-a-kind style.
‘No Drama feat. Sophiegrophy’ from Walker & Royce is out now via Club Sweat.

AMNPLIFY – ML
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
