In ‘Nothing Wrong With That’,  Sahara delivers an uplifting, one of a kind pop powerhouse that is dynamic and unapologetic. With her depth of songwriting and stunning vocal range on full display, she continues to carve out her own compelling lane in the alt pop world.

‘Nothing Wrong With That’ serves as a powerful reminder that things won’t always go to plan but it’s not the end of the world. Written as a shake up and wake-up call (with a little bitta attitude), Sahara proclaims “always hiding from the rain, but look at what the clouds became, everything will be okay if you let it.” The strategic use of instrumentation makes this track feel large and in-charge, prompting the need to check yourself before you wreck yourself.

In that same spirit, Sahara shares the incredible music video born from a pandemic collaboration and made by the incredibly talented filmmaker/director Jack Rintoul. The video for ‘Nothing Wrong With That’ is a nostalgic expression of sentiments from the song. It tells the story of a general, confronted by forces he doesn’t understand, who cannot save the day unless he accepts his lack of control. It recalls an era of filmmaking that didn’t take itself too seriously, and was all the more enjoyable for it.

“I trawled through a lot of music looking for an Australian artist with the right tone, who might be interested in joining me in a crazy idea. I stopped looking once I’d found Sahara.” Jack, Director

‘And Her Kryptonite’ is the companion piece to ‘Queen Of Hearts’ and was produced, recorded and mixed by well-respected Tony Buchen (Mansionair, Courtney Barnett, Montaigne). The EP delicately weaves strong instrumentals and impeccable vocals, as Sahara gently takes our hand and guides us through the inner workings of her self-awareness, teaching us valuable lessons along the way.

Coming through two years of chaos and disruption, Sahara emerges shining as a force to be reckoned with. From co-writing ‘Can’t Get Enough’ with Purple Disco Machine (multi-platinum-selling DJ) and amassing 1 million+ Spotify streams; to multiple placings in the International Songwriting Competition; to the co-creation and successful delivery of BITE CLUB with Briefs Factory International which has led to performances at Glastonbury Festival and nine shows at The Southbank Centre, London UK; it would be fair to say Sahara is the much needed beacon of hope we all needed.

It’s exciting to know that there’s still plenty more to come from Sahara, who still remains a 100% independent artist. So switch off, put your headphones on, close your eyes and melt into the world of the Queen Of Hearts ‘And Her Kryptonite’.
