Australian Blues-man Ivor S.K. now based in New Orleans USA releases new single ‘Sweet ‘N’ Low’ on Friday July 8th.
“Sweet ‘N’ Low” is a song that’s been kicking around for four or five years. I had to chase some of the chords and the feel of the tune for a while, and let it slowly picked up steam in the subconscious. It started life as a borderline Texas shuffle when I first got it down, band and all. Then as I slowly began to pull at the layers and strip it back, it showed its true colours and started to cook with more of a southern soul/R&B flavour. Once the handclaps and tambourine usurped the kit the groove really started to float, and it all came together as a celebration of good times in the Big Easy.” – Ivor S.K.
