The Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) is thrilled to announce this years line up of speakers for its 2022 iteration of Indie-Con Australia Conference featuring Angeline Armstrong (Telenova), Deena Lynch (Jaguar Jonze), Noemí Planas (WIM), Susan Cotchin (Good Neighbour), Katie Brown (Serenade), Emily Copeland (CADA), Jemma Burns (Level Two), to name a few.
Join us in Adelaide for our Indie-Con Australia Conference, Australia’s leading independent music conference. Our 2022 conference will be held as a hybrid event at Adelaide’s Freemasons Hall from August 3rd – 5th, 2022 thanks to continued support from the South Australian Government.
This year’s program aims to empower attendees with insights from industry leaders and will discuss topics including Showcasing & International Touring in 2022 moderated by Dom Alessio, Community Radio: A Pathway for Artists moderated by Jana Gibson (CBAA), Catalogue Sales, NFT Case Studies moderated by Annabelle Herd (ARIA, PPCA), Grant Funding Opportunities – Meet The Funding Bodies moderated by Kirsty Rivers (Australia Council for the Arts), Artists and A&R moderated by Lorrae McKenna (Our Golden Friend), Neighbouring Rights moderated by Lynne Small (ARIA, PPCA), and What The Future Looks Like For Labels moderated by Dylan Pellett (IMNZ), plus interviews and presentations from Merlin, YouTube, ARIA, PPCA, APRA AMCOS together with industry networking opportunities.

The conference will be followed by Music SA’s Scouted, showcasing emerging and unsigned talent from South Australia’s music scene to significant music industry representatives. This year’s showcase will see 14 artists and bands take to 4 different stages across Adelaide on Friday, 5 August 2022.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
