Sydney & Melbourne
Touring November 2022

Frontier Touring and I OH YOU are excited to announce that Compton born rapper, singer and house music producer Channel Tres will return to Australia for two headline shows this November. With three career defining EPs under his belt; Channel Tres (2018); Black Moses (2019); and I Can’t Go Outside (2020); Tres has managed to create a lane for himself through his “Compton house”sound. Now he’s back with his first ever full-length record Real Cultural Shit – out later this year via Godmode.
Playing Metro Theatre, Sydney, on Tuesday 22 November, and 170 Russell, Melbourne, on Wednesday 23 November, Channel Tres will once again bring the vibe down under with his distinctive sound fittingly dubbed “Compton house” – think heavy basslines of Chicago house and the groovy rhythms of Detroit techno, blended with the snarl of West Coast rap and his signature deep, laidback vocals.
Frontier Members pre-sale commences Wednesday 3 August (10am AEST), before the general public on sale kicks off on Thursday 4 August (11am AEST). Tickets and more information via frontiertouring.com/ channeltres.
Our first taste of his new LP Real Cultural Shit comes in the form of 70s-funk infused single ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’, which embodies the glam and decadence of the decade and samples legendary soul man Teddy Pendergrass. Other recent releases ‘Acid In My Blood’ and ‘Ganzfeld Experiment’ perfectly encapsulate his new sound – a harder, more techno-inspired record for his day-one fans.
“Some people say this ain’t black music. Well it ain’t. It’s black precision. And I’m as precise as they can be.” – Channel Tres
Rising to fame in 2018 with dance floor hits ‘Topdown’ and ‘Controller’, Tres garnered international attention from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and global ambassador for electronic music, Pete Tong, as well as triple j who declared ‘Controller’ ‘one of 2018’s biggest cult hits.’

Having played globally renowned music festivals across the UK, Europe, US and Canada, Channel Tres is a seasoned performer who is most at home on stage, previously playing locally at Spilt Milk Festival and Splendour in the Grass. He also recently made his Coachella debut at the Sahara Tent, has toured the world with artists like Robyn, Vince Staples, Disclosure, and Toro y Moi, and will support Flume on his upcoming Palaces World Tour later this year.
Last touring Australia in 2019, Channel Tres played The Lansdowne Hotel in Sydney and Hotel Esplanade in Melbourne.
‘Taking to the Lansdowne Hotel in Sydney, Channel Tres delivered a show that reminded us of the need to acknowledge dance & hip-hop’s diverse beginnings… The performance was more than just a showcasing of his work, but an invitation to recall the black history of dance music and a reminder of its significance.’ – Purple Sneakers
Channel sings “you wanted to find a rhythm that’ll make you move,” and that’s exactly what his shows deliver. Don’t miss Channel Tres in his element live on stage in Sydney and Melbourne this November.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
