“Irresistibly smooth, Ready For The Sky is a warm slice of soul meets R&B. Grounded in a steady rhythm and grooving bassline, subtle guitar plucks and atmospheric synths back Budjerah’s powerful yet agile voice.” – PILERATS
“At just 20 years old, he embodies a confidence and control beyond his years…” – THE MUSIC

Set to take the stage at Beyond the Valley and First and Forever, Budjerah is getting a jump start on summer with the release of the Harvey Sutherland remix of his latest single Ready For The Sky, available now via Warner Music Australia.
A potent combination of smoldering soul, R&B stylings and deep grooves, Ready For The Sky is elevated to a disco infused dance floor anthem by the revered funk synthesist. “I wrote this song in lockdown back in 2020 – when everyone really wanted to go out and have fun and I wanted to talk about that ambitious feeling I had of being ready to go back into the world,” says Budjerah. “I’m such a fan of Harvey’s music and I’m so excited to share this version with the world.”
Harvey adds, “I reckon Budjerah has one of the best voices in the country, so I was stoked to rework Ready For The Sky – it already sounds like a classic record. Took the easy groove of the original up to a dance floor tempo and gave it a proper thumpy soulful house treatment, gospel choir and all. Hands in the air for this one!“
The remix follows on from Budjerah’s cover of Sweet Disposition with Ngaiire and Gretta Ray, originally recorded for The Sound. All proceeds from the single will be donated to The Yiriman Project – an Indigenous organisation operating in the Kimberleys that works tirelessly to prevent youth suicide in community. Budjerah also joined The Temper Trap and Ngaiire to perform the song at the AFL Grand Final.
Following the release of his acclaimed second EP Conversations in April, the musical visionary commenced his global assault, most notably featuring on a remix of Ed Sheeran’s single 2Step in May. Alongside headline shows north of the equator, he also performed as special guest for Vance Joy on his global tour, and a set at The Great Escape throughout May and June. Locally, Budjerah made his debut at Splendour in The Grass, A More Perfect Union and Jungle Love Festival and will perform as special guest for Vance Joy on the Australian leg of his world tour this October and November.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
