Lizzie Hosking is excited to release her next single for 2022, Skye, an uplifting ballad of a lifelong friendship.
“I’ve written a lot of songs about people who don’t deserve an ounce of my time, it was definitely time to write a song for the best friend that got me through it all.” – Lizzie Hosking
Skye was inspired by the love of two best friends going down similar musical journeys into adulthood. “Skye” is a story of watching your best friend grow and flourish into who they are now, and the excitement and proud feeling you have watching an almost family member succeed in their journey. “I first played this song for Skye back in 2021, at my gig at the Wheatsheaf hotel and it was the most beautiful experience, her mum was crying, I was crying, wholesome stuff.” – Lizzie

“I feel like this song is a snapshot of my upcoming album, this is the song that means the most to me and highlights the storytelling I will continue with my other new songs.”
‘“You” is a solid offering from a songwriter who is carving out her own sound and following her creative instincts fearlessly.’ – Amnplify on YOU
Following up from releases “YOU” and “Mask”, “Skye” was written by Lizzie Hosking and recorded at Island Studios with Studio Engineer and Producer, Joseph Cheek. This time he experimented with heart-warming ballads instead of Lizzie’s usual punchy beat and in-your-face lyrics.
“Skye” is in Digital Stores today, on the 21st of October

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
