Mitch James is back with his second album patience out today via Sony Music Entertainment Australia.
On patience, Mitch says “The whole focus of the writing was to be brutally honest and brutally vulnerable.”
The bulk of the album was written and recorded in early 2022, after James travelled to Los Angeles and met up with writer, producer and former Tonight Alive guitarist, Whakaio Taahi.
James and Taahi struck up a creatively stimulating rapport, which allowed James to access new creative territory and fully embrace his position as a pop front person. Crucially, Taahi gave James the freedom to be himself.

“I’m a bit of an over-sharer,” James says. “That’s who I am and that’s who my fans want me to be.”
The focus singe on release of the album is ‘stuck in denial’, a catchy pop number that James says “is very much about the same thing that the fist single ‘motions’ is, except it’s a bit more of a positive spin on it. I open the song by saying “they say that life is pain, don’t try to run away, it knows exactly where you are” and I feel like in my own life I’ve tried in the past to do everything I could to avoid pain or shit happening and no matter how hard you try, it seems to find you no matter what! It is about finding a way to put a smile on your face no matter what life throws at you!”
Mitch James has been travelling the globe supporting Calum Scott on his world tour playing to packed out venues winning new fans at every stop!
To date Mitch James has over 206 million streams globally, over 3.3 million video views and is music has been used in TikTok’s that have been viewed over 8.1M times! The release of patience and playing live to sell-out crowds is only set to increase these impressive numbers!
patience is available everywhere now.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
