Fresh off the back of her stunning ARIAs performance, Zimbabwean born, UK raised and Australian based artist KYE returns today with the official music video for her latest single, ‘Clique’.
Stepping into full pop stardom with her effortlessly stylish aesthetic and fierce choreography, KYE once again teams up with ‘Bossin’’ director, Triana Hernandez. Giving main character meets girl boss energy, KYE and her clique celebrate their community at every opportunity and provide your soundtrack to summer with infectiously addictive rhythms and body-moving melodies.
KYE on the music video: “’Clique’ picks up where ‘Bossin” left off – waking up with the squad after a big night and rolling right into the next one. Spending up, living our main character fantasies and being the moment.”
Today’s visual follows on from KYE’s performance at the 2022 ARIAs where she joined Natalie Imbruglia, Peking Duk and Tones And I on stage at the 2022 ARIAs for a tribute performance to beloved homegrown superstar, Olivia Newton-John. The group gave a celebratory performance of ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’, ‘Xanadu’ and ‘You’re The One That I Want’, with KYE dazzling audiences in the room and at home with her undeniable star performance power.
‘Clique’ joins KYE’s previous single, ‘Bossin’’ and collectively the pair garnered acclaim from the likes of triple j, CADA, Paper Magazine, Line Of Best Fit, NME, 10 Magazine, RUSSH and more. In celebration of this new pop era, KYE headlined packed out Club Bossin’ shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Festival, supported by an all-female line-up of the country’s most exciting DJ talent. Most recently, KYE fulfilled a dream and supported her childhood heroes, the iconic TLC at their one-off headline show in Melbourne.
