Following a string of singles and noteworthy shows over the past eight months, rising star Carla Wehbe has released her new EP “Jupiter and Mars” via Warner Music Australia. Listen HERE.
The confident body-of-work is Carla’s highly anticipated follow-up to her debut EP “Half Past Nine”, which was released in 2020. Featuring recent singles “knight to E5”, “introvert (with extroverted expectations)” and “is forever off the table?”, she also shares two brand new tracks, including “jupiter and mars” which has been a fan favourite in her live set over the past year.
“This EP has been a long time coming for me. it’s cinematic, emotionally dramatic and expresses this extensional sense of longing for something, which I really wanted to express in all the songs.” Carla explains of the EP. “Five years in the making, the songs were all written at very different times in my life – from the title track ‘jupiter and mars’ which was written 5 years ago, to ‘addicted to self deprecation’ written as recently as late last year, it seems as though a completely different version of me wrote each song, yet somehow they all fit perfectly together.” She adds.
2022 was a big year for Carla Wehbe which saw her opening for international superstars Benson Boone and Alec Benjamin, receiving full additions at triple j for “is forever off the table?” and “introvert (with extroverted expectations)”, and even throwing her own Holiday Hoedown show in Sydney with Charlie Collins and special guests Peach PRC, Gretta Ray, EGOISM, Charley, Cody Jon and more. As she steers into 2023, Carla has recently announced that she will be performing at VIVID Festival with Dan Sultan, and has performed Fair Day in Sydney and Mountain Goat Valley Crawl in Brisbane. With the release of “Jupiter and Mars” she is gearing up for a lot more touring, and even the release of her own clothing line, so stay tuned!

I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
