ALLY ROW
Infectious new single
‘BARE FEET’
Out 27th April“AMNPLIFY PREMIERE”
Reviving the mid-2000’s “stomp and holler” song-writing with inspirations such as Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers and Of Monsters and Men… up and coming indie pop-folk duo Ally Row’s infectious new single ‘Bare feet’ guarantees a fresh and memorable take on this nostalgic yet forever relevant genre. Functioning as the music equivalent of a positive D&M with a close friend at a house party…this track is for anyone who ever felt pressured to change their beliefs and stop pursuing their dreams…
Blending upbeat instrumentation through elements of driving percussion, modernised banjo and melodic yet rhythmic guitar, their pop-leaning hooks alongside haunting and velvety harmonies create a safe space for listeners while allowing them to chant and dance to their heart’s desire… as it tells a story of fighting for your worth in this world.
“It’s about the obstacles and realities of taking a risk, choosing the hard path to pursue something you love and standing up for choosing self-care. We visualise it as walking down a dark path without shoes on…you may get some cuts and bruises on your feet along the way, but it’s all worth it”.
Produced and mixed by Mark Myers (member of indie-rock band The Middle East), mastered by King Willy Sound (Gotye’s Somebody that I used to know) and featuring the incredible banjo talents of Ben Wilson (member of Northern NSW’s The Button Collective and Doris’s Man), this track oozes a mid-2000’s indie pop-folk sound that sets a bright tone; the perfect combination of uplifting, melodious song-writing and uniquely raw emotion.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
