Exploring the different stages of love, from initial attraction to fascination and all the way through a breakup, Rom Com paints vivid, vibrant snapshots of the excitement and struggles of unabashed, intense feelings. The band, composed of lead singer and bassist Isabel Jones, with backup vocals sung by George Jones, who also plays piano, Adam Jones on guitar, Emily Jones on drums, Jack Jones on guitar, and Ellie Jones on percussion, has been making waves and a name for themselves for the past three years through their fast growing and dedicated TikTok audience. Their debut album is set against a glittering electro-pop backdrop, where 2000s-romcom-pop inspirations fuse with electronic and pop-rock influences in tracks like “Two Friends,” an edgy, straight-forward situationship bop, or “What About Her,” a tension-filled rock anthem exploring the ensuing communication breakdown. Borrowing a distinctively vocal punk edge, tracks “Try Hard” and “Blondie,” a track inspired by Sabrina Carpenter, showcase flirty energy fused with infatuation that shows both the excitement and confusion that come with navigating complex, layered relationships with others and ourselves. Following the unfolding of heartbreak, the album spans oceans between “Jacket,” an energetic, 2000s-esque track full of possibilities and amorous energy, and the closing track “Not Us Anymore,” whose melancholy becomes a tell-tale of growing apart. “The overall band atmosphere feeds the butterflies of excitement, with an unexpected warm center that bleeds love through desperation and desire,” they comment. “From that first interaction to being friends and wanting more, to that first date and even to the breakup, we cover every emotion someone may be going through with this album.”

In Rom Com—which was produced by JENGA Productions (Shayon Daniels, Nicci Funicelli, Jim Funicelli), SM6 questions the complexities of romance, while taking a moment to appreciate its dramatics, ups, and downs – basking in the euphoria and recklessness of young love, losing themselves and finding meaning in the layers of attraction and commitment, presenting a colorful album whose emotional depth is kaleidoscopic, intentional, and dynamic. The electro-pop moguls navigate this dizzying cocktail of excitement and confusion by recounting a full life cycle of relationships, from friends with benefits to breakups. As hinted by the album title, SM6 compares on-screen relationships and tropes in romantic comedies with real-life complexities such as identity, jealousy, and self-sabotage, while painting a genuine portrait to dance along to.
The six siblings of SM6 have been active as a band for approximately a decade, and have amassed a social media fan base of over 3 million followers and 12 million weekly watchers on TikTok. Their infectious, witty videos, combined with their music content, have gathered admiration and success worldwide – alongside the relatability and authenticity with which they explore different themes in their music. Their latest single “Generation Heartbreak” longed for thoughtful romantic gestures of a time before their own; before that, “Let Me Be Happy,” explored the rise of the mental health crisis over the pandemic and finding the courage to be happy again. Released in June of 2022, “Panic” was a personal letter from Isabel on her journey of embracing her sexuality and the anxieties of coming out as part of the LGBTQ+ community. “Panic” gained 950K streams on Spotify and the praise of champions at Sweety High, Celeb Secrets, and Tonight Magazine.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
