Pasiflorez are a four piece, psych-surf collective hailing from the Northern Rivers (NSW), featuring Andrew (lead vocals, guitar), Nicole (guitar, keys, tambourine, backing vocals), Michael (bass) and Jacko (drums). First impressions reveal a style that draws influence from classic surf rock, psychedelia and old school funk. With their unique blend of laidback funky grooves, sun-soaked melodies and 70s nostalgia, Pasiflorez create dreamy sonic worlds that you can’t help but get lost in.
Since their inception in 2020, Pasiflorez have two albums, an EP and five singles already under their belt, with their latest album garnering attention both locally and overseas. Performing shows across Australia and New Zealand, they’ve gained a reputation for their enigmatic and colourful live shows. Since wrapping up their last NZ tour, Pasiflorez are now ready to release their new single “Intergalactic Romance”.

Pasiflorez’s latest single, “Intergalactic Romance,” takes us on a cosmic joyride full of tripped-out nostalgia & youthful charm. The track kicks off with a hypnotic bass opener that seamlessly flows into warm, tape-drenched guitars, sitar-esque slides, and 80s-inspired organ grooves. As the song progresses, cascading guitar melodies and honey-textured harmonies lift the energy into a delightful explosion of space-surf rock.
The lyrics, written by Andrew Fraser, tell the tale of a band of business men and women boarding an important business trip. Aboard the flight, Andrew falls in love with a very beautiful air hostess as she pours his complimentary G&T. Besotted with his new love, he asks the pilot if they may divert the flight for a whimsical detour to Mars. All of the business people, tired of their mundane lives are thrilled, and the plane takes off on its new course to the stars.
“Intergalactic Romance” is the third track the group has recorded at BLANKSPACE Studio in Sydney with producer James Christowski. Off the back of their latest album “Passion Flower” (via Nice Guys), Pasiflorez have a third album in the works for release later this year.
To mark its release, Pasiflorez will be kicking off their ‘Intergalactic Romance’ Australian tour in Melbourne on Friday May 26th at the Retreat Hotel.
