In recognition of her exceptional talent, Alieysha was awarded the Helpmann Academy’s Creative Boost Grant in 2022. Her music has also earned her praise from critics and fans alike, with one reviewer calling her voice “bewitching” and another praising her “powerful voice” and “strong sense of self-worth.”
Alieysha stated that ‘Falling For You’ has a special place in her heart, especially being her debut single, as she expresses her inspiration for the track.
“Falling For You is a poignant portrayal of the all-consuming nature of love. The track tries to encapsulate the feeling of falling deeper and deeper in love, unable to escape the grip of its emotional intensity. Despite attempts to refocus on reality, the song attempts to convey the persistent hold of love on the mind and heart, hopefully leaving listeners with a relatable raw and honest description of the highs and lows of love” shares Alieysha.
Alieysha says that the inspiration for this song wasn’t from a passed relationship though, rather by something otherworldly.
“I have always been enamoured by Greek Mythology and for this song I imagined a god had come down from Olympus and fallen in love with me and that the infatuation enveloped me completely also.”
