AUGUST RIVER BAND
release highly-awaited
second EP
MEDIA

.
Following on from releasing 3 singles earlier this year; “Lemonade”, “Beautiful Hill” & “Testing”, August River Band have come to us with their second EP Media – which features all 3 singles and the title track as well two other previously released tracks. The 6 track project is set to be released into the world on June 2.
On the inspiration for their latest EP, frontman Eve Ferreira says, “Sullen in a melancholy haze we gnaw and bite at our seams with a desire for true intimacy combusting within.”
He adds, “the Media does not create the world; it is merely a very efficient algorithmic mirror reflecting the true nature of the collective. We are the media, we are the culture, we are the creators of the future, not our thoughts or great intentions but our decisions and our actions create the reality that will exist 100 years from now just as our elders have created the reality we navigate today.”
Just like their previous three singles, “Media” was recorded with Paulie B at Yama-Nui Studios (Sunshine Coast). Since coming off a big 2022 playing the Caloundra Music Festival and Airlie Beach Music Festival, August River Band have kicked off 2023 hard selling out their “Beautiful Hill” Single Launch at The Bearded Lady in Brisbane.
The band have a tour celebrating the EP’s release including June 10 at The Butter Factory in Logan, June 17 at Nambour Cultural Centre in Nambour & August 18 at The Zoo in Brisbane – we can’t wait to see you all there.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
