“On Drama Queen, Menzel sings like the great dance and disco diva vocalists of the ’70s and ’80s. It’s hard not to conjure images of Cher or even Celine Dion. There is power and confidence in the music, born from real achievement and know-how” – American Songwriter
Tony-Award winning singer/songwriter Idina Menzel released her first music video for “Move” from her highly anticipated disco-tinged dance pop album, Drama Queen, set to release via BMG on August 18.

“Move” provides an infectious beat for listeners to embrace the way in which the music moves them. The powerful and vibrant new single is about being your authentic self, stepping out of the shadows, and not letting someone else get in your way or steal the spotlight from you.
Featuring appearances from social media stars Julian Cookies and Jan Sport, the choreographed numbers, shimmering disco balls, and shiny dance floors encapsulate the iconic style and energy of the disco genre. The dance sequences choreographed by Richard “Richy” Jackson, fused with Menzel’s dynamic vocals, create an incomparable synergy that will leave viewers wanting more. The music video was shot in May in New York City at one of Brooklyn’s newest clubs Paragon, directed by Nick Laughlin.
On the anticipated forthcoming album Drama Queen, Menzel showcases her powerhouse vocals through soaring anthems, disco-infused beats, and just the right amount of drama. Menzel worked alongside global hitmakers Nile Rodgers, Jake Shears, Justin Tranter, Sir Nolan, Simon Wilcox, Laura Veltz, Jim Eliot, Maty Noyes, Mitch Allan, Lindy Robbins, Chantry Johnson, Michelle Zarlenga and more to create a body of work that is a departure from what she’s put out in the past. Harnessing the same unforgettable presence both on the stage and the big screen, Drama Queen is the latest project in which Menzel employs her greatest superpower.

AMNPLIFY – ML
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
