NEW SINGLE RUNNIN’ THE COUNTRY (WITH THE WOLFE BROTHERS)
OUT NOW

#1 ARIA Country charting and multi award winning artist, Travis Collins is today releasing his much-anticipated 9th studio album, ‘Any Less Anymore’, through ABC Music.

Produced by Stuart Stuart (Sheppard, The Veronicas, Lee Kernaghan), the album came together over a twelve month period throughout 2021-22 and features songs co-written with writers from around the globe including Brett Eldredge and Lindsay Ell, along with homegrown stars, The Wolfe Brothers, with whom Travis duets on his new single ‘Runnin’ The Country’, which is also released to media today.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release, with three Top 10 airplay hits already lifted from the album, including ‘One of Them Nights’, ‘Just the Way’ and the title track, ‘Any Less Anymore’. ‘Runnin’ the Country’, another sure-fire classic, speaks tongue-in-cheek to the current political climate while keeping Travis’s trademark country-rock swagger.

The record also includes a very personal track, ‘Raise Me’ that he penned as his story of becoming a first-time father. In exciting news, Travis and his wife Rebecca have shared that they will be welcoming a son later this year, a baby brother to their young daughter Ava. View clip here.

On the album, Travis explains, “Over the past couple of years, we’ve all had life changed or disrupted in some way, professionally or personally. It was both for me. Like most in the music business, it was a major sidelining and ‘time out’ for who I was, and what I do. Initially, that was terrifying. However, as we went further forward, I tried to embrace change, and I learned it wasn’t all bad.

For the first time in my adult life, I had to learn be still. Calm. In one place. Which was tough for a guy whose wife calls him ‘Jet Stream’. Turns out it was the reset and break I didn’t even know I needed. Physically, mentally, emotionally.”

“Until 2020, my life was dedicated to one thing only, so when I couldn’t do or ‘be’ that, I began looking within and asking myself “who am I, now?” This album is kind of my journal of that period, the thoughts I had, feelings I felt, and lessons I learned.

The following year and a half became some of the best times of my life so far. Despite losing what I’d always thought was the cornerstone of my identity, I felt like I got to see the first real glimpses of my true self. Husband, Father, Neighbour, Brother, Friend, Son. The real stuff.

There’s a lot on this record about ‘perspective’. That’s what the past two years have been about, and what my path forward is about. It’s surreal to say, but I’m grateful for the past two years, and I’m proud of these songs about that time in my life.”

Travis recently kicked off his ‘Any Less Anymore’ national tour in Western Australia and is set to continue across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and South Australia throughout 2023. Travis will also take the stage a number of Australia’s biggest festivals, including Gympie Music Muster and Deni Ute Muster and will join U.S country group, Midland as their special guest on their Australian tour in August/September. About TRAVIS COLLINS:

With his soulful voice and earthy sound Travis Collins is considered one of Australia’s finest country music artists.  He has a unique gift of piloting both sophisticated, heartfelt ballads and supercharged country-rock floor-fillers.

He burst onto the scene in 2005 with Start the Car, establishing himself as a leading light in Australian song. Nine studio albums later, he is a regular mainstage fixture at Australia’s peak country music festivals, and routinely plays to sold-out crowds across the country.

Travis Collins’ fourth album Wired (2015) reached No.1 on the ARIA Country Albums Chart and produced No.1 hits Boots On and Curves, while his follow-up record Hard Light (2016) peaked at No.2 on the ARIA Country Albums Chart.

He was awarded the CMC Male Artist of the Year for 2017 and 2018 and swept the CMAA Awards in 2017 on the back of Hard Light, which saw him take home Golden Guitars for Male Vocalist of the Year, APRA AMCOS Song of the Year, and Single of the Year. Hard Light also netted him three No.1 hits including the stirring Call Me Crazy.

Our Backyard (2017) with Amber Lawrence secured a further three Golden Guitar wins and Brave & The Broken (2018) received an ARIA Award nomination Best Country Album. That album cracked the top 20 of the ARIA Albums Chart, landed at No.3 on the iTunes Australian Albums Chart, and spawned a string of No.1 hits.

Wreck Me in 2020 took out the No.1 spot on the ARIA Country Albums Chart, debuting in the Top 10 of the ARIA Albums Chart, and landing at No.4 on the iTunes Australian Albums Chart. Wreck Me also landed Travis his second ARIA Awards nomination for Best Country Album, and spawned the earthy Wreck Me: Acoustic Sessions.

The triple CMAA Male Artist of the Year and CMA Global Artist Award-winner has toured alongside US megastars Tim McGraw and Luke Combs. He also appeared as one of the main stage acts at CMC Rocks in March alongside international headliners Morgan Wallen, Zac Brown Band & Kip Moore.
