Emerging artist Jada Weazel is poised to make her mark on Australian music with the release of her highly anticipated debut single, “Skin.” With her soulful sound and intimate lyricism, Jada Weazel invites listeners on a transformative journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
Born and raised in the Aboriginal community of Woorabinda in Central Queensland, Jada Weazel’s passion for music was nurtured from an early age. Surrounded by a family deeply rooted in songwriting and performing, Jada was exposed to the enchanting melodies of iconic musicians like Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, and Alicia Keys. Drawing inspiration from these empowered voices, she found solace and fulfilment in the realm of R&B and soul music, eventually crafting a sound that is uniquely her own.
Debut single, “Skin”, produced by Grammy nominated producers UNO Stereo & LEN20, exemplifies Jada’s exquisite ability to blend textured music and sensitive lyrics, resulting in a breathtaking final product. Her music promises to translate seamlessly into the live space, as Jada has dedicated considerable time to conceptualizing captivating live shows. Having already shared stages with acclaimed artists such as Mo’Ju and Miiesha, Jada’s stage presence strikes a delicate balance between grace and unwavering strength, leaving audiences mesmerised.

Following her aspirations as a songwriter, Jada embarked on a path to bring her musical vision to life. Collaborating with established producers in Brisbane and Melbourne, she refined her sound and discovered her innate talent as a storyteller. Under the mentorship and guidance of esteemed songwriter and musical mentor Stephen Collins, Jada’s artistic maturity flourished, allowing her to pen authentic and heartfelt lyrics.
“Songwriting is so intricate and has so much power,” says Jada. “Stephen provided me with the space to be vulnerable and write about my experiences. While not everyone may relate to my story directly, they can connect with my words in their own way once they take the time to listen.”
