Australia’s fastest rising indie-rock outfit and loveable larrikins Old Mervs are gearing up to play across the country this October, on their biggest headline tour yet – the “On The Road Again Tour”.
Off the back of previous sell out tours in Australia and New Zealand, a slot at Groovin the Moo Bunbury and a recent run supporting King Stingray, Old Mervs are levelling up to play some big rooms in Burleigh Heads, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, Fremantle and Sydney. They’ll be bringing taking new gem “Sweetheart” on the road, which was added to triple j rotation and one of the station’s most-played tracks in June.
Garnering a local reputation for their energetic, epic singalong shows in WA, Old Mervs have quickly become one of Australia’s hottest commodities. Their last headline tour sold over 6000 tickets, with venues like the Lansdowne, Brightside and a stack of others selling out. Hitting home runs with stand out singles like 2020 track “Cellphone”, 2021’s “Wait Around” and “Where I Go” which placed 123rd in the Hottest 100/200, the two-piece soundtrack life’s growing pains and kaleidoscopic experiences wrapped in catchy hooks and breezy guitars.
In 2022, Old Mervs delivered their highly anticipated debut EP, Get Better. Recorded and produced with the renowned Dave Parkin (Sly Withers, Spacey Jane), the EP saw the band take a significant step in their sonic evolution.
Turning heads of industry and fans alike with their sunny sound, the duo have supported some of the biggest tours in the country including Liam Gallagher, The Wombats and Spacey Jane. Impressing crowds with their loaded set at this year’s Groovin the Moo in Bunbury, the pair have been in motion since, with new music and supporting King Stingray on their national tour, wrapping up last Friday in Brisbane.
It’s been a whirlwind year so far but Old Mervs are only just getting started.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
