Secret Sounds is thrilled to announce that burgeoning global superstar grentperez will be joining Rex Orange County on his anticipated Australian tour this September/October. The Sydney-born Filipino singer, songwriter, producer and visual artist will join Rex on all dates, gracing stages in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

Carving out a unique space for himself, grentperez’ music is exuberant and soulful. Its wide-ranging mixture of bedroom R&B and dream-soft indie not only soothes but re-energises those that may be feeling a little weary with the state of the world. His sound is as breezy as late summer afternoons with your best friends, speckled with sunlight and dusky with nostalgia.

grentperez began uploading cover songs to YouTube in his late teens and his audience grew rapidly to 600,000 subscribers and over 100 million views. As he became comfortable with writing, he started playing around with GarageBand, recording and self-releasing songs on Spotify. This led to the ‘Confusing Girl’, a delightfully hazy indie track that was the genesis of his colourful sonic universe. More songs followed, including his official debut single ‘Cherry Wine’, which hit #1 on Spotify’s Viral Chart in Australia, Canada and Singapore.

grentperez released two EPs in 2022, Conversations with the Moon and Trail Mix Tape, helping him to accrue over 250 million lifetime streams, music videos (some hand-drawn by the artist himself) and a hugely dedicated fanbase that helped his recent single ‘Old With You’ reach 1.5 million streams within just three weeks of its release.

grentperez released his latest EP When Were Younger in June 2023, the project is focused on growing older and lost youth. He recently completed his first headline tour of Australia and has dates planned at festivals, throughout Europe and an upcoming sold-out North American headline tour.
