Bear has been writing and releasing prolifically since 2014, with 2 EPs and 3 full-length albums under her belt. Her most recent, Superflower, was accompanied by a national Australian album tour where Misha Bear sold CDs and t-shirts, all self-designed.
She has now departed from her previous Electropop style, returning to her roots in a full band with live instruments. The new direction marks the beginning of a distinctive move from Bear, having recently moved with her family from Australia to Canada. It’s a post-covid world, where international boundaries have no meaning anymore.

Bear is now collaborating with Israeli composer Adar Avisar and his multi-national troupe of highly acclaimed musicians. Exceptional guitar solos from Haim Romano transport listeners to a different time and place. Bass playing by Guy Ron also builds incredible excitement, and Alan Young’s drumming couldn’t be any more on pointe. The energy and power behind this music is extraordinary, and the team complete albums at lightning speed, enabling them to produce incredibly highly-professional music in record time.
Bear experienced this firsthand, when she gave Keep on Sailing to Adar to compose a new arrangement. Within 5 hours of sending over her home-studio vocal tracks, Adar knocked on her inbox with the full compositions, complete with real-life brass and strings!
This song is special to Misha Bear on a deep, personal level, as it is about her mum returning from a solo circumnavigation around the world to battling and overcoming cancer. The video, that Bear has skillfully crafted herself is a personal and soul-baring of love and compassion for her mum, and the resounding joy in celebrating her mum’s survival.
The ‘Avisar-Bear Ensemble’, as they are calling the project, is working on a several full-length albums all at once! The next single, Kaleidoscope Dreams will be released internationally with a video clip on the 18th August.
