About THE ACTS

Jessie Ware returns to Australia, exclusively for Summer Camp, 10 years after her last visit! The last decade has been one of global pop domination, with 6x Top 10 UK Albums, performances at Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, and the biggest festivals around the world, plus the release of anthemic singles ‘Free Yourself’, ‘Spotlight’ and ‘What’s Your Pleasure’ just to name a few.

Drag icon Trixie Mattel is bringing her Solid Pink Disco to Australia exclusively for Summer Camp. She appeared on New York Magazine’s list of “The Most Powerful Drag Queens in America”, with reality TV, touring, cosmetics range, a hotel in Palm Springs and #1 dance singles under her belt.

Brooke Candy hailed as an icon of the underground music, fashion, and queer art world will keep energy levels high showcasing her hits with her much talked about and praised live performance. Brooke first gained major attention from her work on Grimes’ 2012 music video “Genesis”, followed quickly by high-profile collaborations with Charli XCX, Sia, Diplo, Sophie, Mykki Blanco, and countless more.

DJ, Producer, Songwriter Kito will return home to Australia for an electrifying Summer Camp set. The 2020 Global APRA Award nominated artist has officially remixed singles for superstar acts such as Beyonce, Jay Z, Kayne West, and MARINA. Her recent hit single “Bitter” with FLETCHER and Trevor Daniel has over 200 million combined streams.

In 2011, Rebecca Black’s viral hit “Friday” reached more than 150 million people worldwide and became the fastest-growing song and video of the year, but it has been the last few years that she has solidified her stamp on pop culture. Her debut album “Let Her Burn” was released in early 2023 and had her 1.5 million YouTube subscribers screaming and streaming, with reviewers praising the album.

With inspiration from artists like Prince, David Bowie, Grace Jones, Depeche Mode and George Clinton, The Illustrious Blacks will arrive with a mission to fuse futuristic funk, hypnotic house, space disco and synth-pop into pulsating positivity for the planet. “Self-proclaimed Afro-Electro-Disco-Space-Punks, DJ/Music duo The Illustrious Blacks are unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Part DJ set, part dance performance, part Studio 54, party Berlin underground, this NY married couple know how to put on a SHOW!” – YoHoMo

British pop singer/songwriter Tom Aspaul has over 30 million streams and released his debut album “Black Country Disco” in 2020 to critical acclaim and equally backed it up last year with second album titled “Life in Plastic”. His songwriting credits include for Kylie Minogue, Snakehips, Celeste and Becky Hill, amongst many others. Tom will make his Summer Camp Festival debut with a pop pulsing performance.

From her first foray into the music business, with the LA based, punk-influenced band the Go-Go’s in 1978, and then as a phenomenally successful solo artist, legend Belinda Carlisle has delivered a string of classic pop hits that have become the soundtrack of a generation including “Heaven Is A Place On Earth”, “I Get Weak”, “Circle In The Sand”, “Leave A Light On” and “Summer Rain”. She will join Summer Camp Sydney to perform live her iconic hits from the past decades. Belinda and her son James Duke Mason are longtime advocates for the LBGTQI community, and this will be Belinda’s first ever dance festival performance in Australia.

Legendary dance diva Ultra Nate will grace the stage at Summer Camp Melbourne. Since the early 90’s she has ranked up an incredible 27 Top 30 Billboard Dance charting singles that include the massive hits “Free”, “Found A Cure”, “If You Could Read My Mind”, “Desire” and “Automatic”. In 2016 Billboard Magazine placed her as the 12th most successful dance artist of all time.
