Renowned US-based, Indian singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad will be bringing his eagerly awaited ‘The Way That Lovers Do’ Tour to Australia next month, the final stop on his massive tour after having performed shows globally across USA, Canada, Europe, UK, Dubai, India and Asia – tickets on-sale here
Hailed as “one of the country’s leading singer-songwriters” by Rolling Stone India, Prateek Kuhad has spent over a decade establishing himself as a globally recognized pop musician from India. Originally from Jaipur, Kuhad effortlessly connects with fans of all ages and backgrounds, singing in both Hindi and English.
Drawing comparisons to indie balladeers such as Sufjan Stevens and Jose Gonzalez, Kuhad has garnered universal acclaim for his pop and folk-driven songs exploring the themes of love and desire. His debut album In Tokens and Charms achieved instant success, earning him an MTV Europe Music Award, iTunes’ Indie Album of the Year, and the title of Best Pop Artist at the Radio City Freedom Awards. The album’s opening track, ‘Oh Love’ secured first place in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition, previously launching artists like Gotye and Passenger into the global spotlight.

Kuhad has sold out auditoriums and amphitheatres across India, performed as support for acclaimed acts such as Alt-J and Mike Posner, and embarked on headline and festival tours worldwide, including the US, UK, Australia, Singapore, Canada, and France.
In 2020, Kuhad made history as the first solo Indian artist to join Elektra Records. The news coincided with the re-release of his breakthrough EP from 2018, cold / mess, which received widespread critical acclaim and praise from NPR, Vulture, Billboard, Uproxx, and former President Barack Obama, who featured ‘cold / mess’ on his 2019 Songs of the Year playlist.
His third studio album The Way That Lovers Do released in 2022, comprises 11 brand-new tracks delving into themes of human love, friendship, and connectivity. Recorded at Seattle’s secluded Bear Creek Studio with producer Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers and Vance Joy), the album marks a departure for Kuhad, as he ventured beyond his usual circle of collaborators, resulting in his most authentic and introspective work to date.
He recently released a deluxe version of The Way That Lovers Do on the one-year anniversary of its original release. This deluxe edition includes eight bonus tracks that were previously unheard. One notable addition is an alternate version of his original song ‘Bloom’, featuring guest vocals from Indian-American R&B artist Raveena.
The upcoming Australian shows are the first time Prateek Kuhad has performed his album to Australian audiences, marking his largest shows to date.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
