Today, three-time, Grammy award-winning superstar, entrepreneur and philanthropist Megan Thee Stallion released her brand new single “Cobra”, which is currently available to stream on all platforms HERE.
As part of the announcement, Megan also delivered the corresponding music video for “Cobra”, which was directed by Douglas Bernardt. Watch the full, serpent-themed visual HERE, which is punctuated by Megan holding a massive snake at the end.
“Cobra” marks a revitalized chapter in the Houston native’s career, considering the song was her first release on Hot Girl Productions – Megan’s independent music and entertainment entity. The fresh start is also a key theme in “Cobra” as Megan emphasizes the importance of shedding the past and starting anew with vulnerable, yet poignant lyrics.
The new single also showcases Megan rapping on a dynamic beat produced by Bankroll Got It, Shawn “Source” Jarrett and Derrick Milano. She also played an instrumental role in the production of “Cobra”, working closely with guitarist Diggy Lessard to perfect the beat.
“Cobra” serves as Megan’s first solo release of 2023 and first music release since dropping “Traumazine” in August 2022 that included collaborations with Dua Lipa, Key Glock, Jhené Aiko, Rico Nasty, Latto, Lucky Daye, Pooh Shiesty as well as Houston staples such as Sauce Walka, Big Pokey & Lil Keke.
Most recently, Megan organized her star-studded, Hottieween party that included appearances from Offset, Victoria Monet, John Boyega, GloRilla, Kash Doll, BMF actor Da’Vinchi, Zonnique, Rocko, Dominican dembow artist Yaisel LM and many more. It took place after Megan’s dazzling performance at the ONE Music Fest in Atlanta.
Outside of music, Megan has showcased her versatility as an actor, shining in“Dicks: The Musical” that was released earlier in October.
