Adelaide Singer Lizzie Hosking is a powerhouse vocalist with catchy melodies and fun story-telling. Lizzie Hosking grew up in the North of Adelaide pursuing her love of music through singing covers and performing every chance she got. Later in life Lizzie has found her love for song-writing and storytelling. Constantly uploading content to places like TikTok and Instagram Lizzie strives to help her friends and followers realise their worth and importance through self-love hidden between the lyrics of Lizzie’s pop tunes.
.2023 has seen the release of Lizzie’s latest singles Stress You Out, Energy and Fire which have a combined total of 50,000 streams on Spotify. This year has been no small feat for the emerging artist, taking the stage across Adelaide and delivering electric performances to hundreds of gig goers, her first Spotify Editorial placement and Triple J reviews.
When speaking about 2023 Lizzie says “This has been a huge year for me, and being the Christmas lover that I am, I’m so happy to be closing off this chapter with my second EP.”
About Dreaming Of A White Christmas
Lizzie has always dreamt of a white Christmas and before she ventures off to experience a cold Christmas she has decided to reminisce on her upbringing in the warm, Australian summer. The Christmas song is her grandpa’s favourite Christmas song and is who the Ep is dedicated to. “Him being 92 this year we thought it would be special as one of the lines in the Christmas song is “for kids from 1 to 92.””
Christmas has always been a big deal for Lizzie and the idea of treating everyone the way you would treat them on Christmas, all year round is how Lizzie says she tries to live her life.
The Christmas EP was recorded at Island Studios with Joseph Cheek, creating arrangements that complimented Lizzie’s musical style whilst also keeping the tracks classic was a great new experience for Lizzie.
“White Christmas is my favourite Christmas song, I feel like there’s nothing more Christmassy then that Disney esc sound of strings and birds chirping, I love it.”
“Silent Night finishes off the EP, it’s my mum’s favourite song and was a big surprise for her. I showed her the song and she immediately burst into tears. Although we have had our issues we’ve always come together to bond over Christmas and she has instilled a love of music and family in me that I really appreciate.”
