Following the release of “SIP” and showcases at SXSW Sydney, multi-faceted creative force BOY SODA returns today with the captivating new single “Company” via Warner Music Australia. Listen HERE.

“Making this song was a really cathartic experience as I was basically journaling about my personal boundaries with people, and a sense of self-respect. I think there’s always a balance in life of empathy for others and respect for your own time and energy and learning where those lines begin and end is extremely important for your inner peace.” says BOY SODA of the inspiration behind the track.

“Company” and “SIP” follows the launch of his collaborative new series in partnership with Converse, “SODA SESSIONS”, which is dedicated to unreleased music and artist-to-artist conversation. Teaming up with fellow artists Cyrus, Billy Maree, Ruby Jackson and BoomChild, this series sees the talented musician, songwriter and producer performing brand new music from the vault and have a discussion about culture, influence, process, philosophies, and taste. Episode 4 with Boomchild is out now. Watch HERE.

2022 was a big year for BOY SODA that saw him release his debut EP “THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THINKING AND FEELING” and the follow-up mixtape“YC-TAPE: Vol. 1”, which was a triumphant gear switch that cemented the Sydneysider’s ambition to innovate beyond the confinements of RnB. He opened for Seth Sentry on his national tour, showcased at BIGSOUND, and had his single “BIG” featured on Netflix’s global hit show Heartbreak High. Steering into 2023, BOY SODA has continued that trajectory by conducting a co-headlining tour with Taj Ralph, performed at Live Nation’s Ones To Watch event in Melbourne, given a highly praised triple j Bars Of Steele performance, and participated in APRA AMCOS’ Songhubs in New Zealand.
