KAELI EARLE and DILLON GREENBERG are thrilled to announce the release of their enchanting Christmas album MERRY CHRISTMAS, LUCY. Out worldwide on December 8, 2023, the 5-song EP which features their original single, “Merry Christmas, Lucy”, available on November 24, 2023, is a joyous celebration of the holiday season and a remarkable journey of resilience.

“Merry Christmas, Lucy” is a story about Dillon’s beloved and iconic cat, Lucy, who was told by the vet that she wouldn’t make it through the year. Dillon was inspired to write the lyrics, and Kaeli composed the music. Over the summer during the recording process, Lucy underwent surgery and made a full recovery. She is a symbol of hope and the embodiment of the holiday spirit, as well as a mascot for Dillon’s home studio.

While firmly rooted in the crooner classics of yore, the EP beautifully combines elements of jazz with influences from legends like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, the Andrews Sisters, and Destiny’s Child. KAELI and DILLON have masterfully blended the 1950’s and 1990’s sensibilities, creating a sound that pays homage to their childhood heroes, even the boomers.

Featuring four-part jazz harmonies, both DILLON and KAELI lend their voices to this enchanting musical journey.

Recorded and produced over the summer in New York City, “Merry Christmas, Lucy” offers a harmonious blend of traditional and modern Christmas music. The album’s three recording locations – Second Story Sound in NYC, Mantra Music Studios in Brooklyn, and Kaeli’s home studio in Seattle – bring a diverse soundscape to this delightful release.

The album was produced by Dillon and Kaeli, co-produced by Derek Buckwalter (RZN8R), recorded over one week by Dillon and Kaeli, skilfully sound designed and mixed by Derek and Kaeli, and mastered by Oscar Zambrano. Kaeli on bass and Harrison Dolan on drums also provide the rhythmic backbone of the album.
