“Lovin Looks Like is a healing song about learning to love yourself again. It’s about taking a good look in the mirror and seeing who you are and knowing and learning about all your worth.

After being broken from a relationship, learning to love yourself can be hard but over the years I’ve taken good advice. I’ve learned that putting myself first isn’t a bad thing and that I should never be made to feel bad about that focus.

A lot of this album is about that for me; not being afraid to do this on my own and walking strong through everything.

My beautiful close Uncle and Aunty offered the first and second verses to me in a time of need.

These lyrics basically wrote themselves like most of my songs that I’ve lived; I’ve had to learn or survive or work things out myself as I go.” Emma Donovan

Lovin’ Looks Like was written and produced by Emma and Mick Meagher (The Putbacks, The Bamboos, Kate Ceberano, The Pigram Brothers, Ross Hannaford), the two sharing a powerful creative connection.

Emma has been touring the country for over 20 years, performing soulful songs and sharing powerful stories with audiences around the globe. Her next run of live shows will see her return to where it all began as an 11-year-old with the family country music band, The Donovans – playing at Tamworth Country Music Festival followed by a full national tour, all with the legendary Charley Crockett.
