Mardi Ritchie’s innovative approach to music in her Sydney day spa has led to the creation of unique ‘Sound Bath’ live performances and is the foundation for the ‘Ascend’ EP, out today.
The ‘Sound Bath’ performances give the singer-songwriter a unique platform to play live in the most intimate of settings, showcasing her gentle but uplifting songs.
Often described as transformative and transcendent, six tracks are released today on the new EP ‘Ascend’, you can listen here to focus track ‘Temple’, and the previously released ‘Hypnotic’, ‘Keep Breathing’, ‘Slow’, ‘Sweet Surrender’ and ‘You’re Beautiful’.
Until now, the ‘Sound Bath’ performances have been exclusively performed in Mardi’s Chakana Day Spa + Wellbeing, leading to consistently acclaimed reviews such as:

From April, Mardi will take the ‘Sound Baths’ on the road, with dates for this fusion of music and healing currently scheduled in Sydney and Melbourne at high end Pilates and Yoga studios and plans underway to perform in Brisbane before the end of the year.

To accompany the launch of the ‘Ascend’ EP, Ritchie curated a ground breaking sound-activated aroma range, aligning each aroma blend with a track off the EP.
Renowned for her unique blend of folk, chill, and soulful music, Ritchie’s artistry transcends traditional boundaries, offering listeners a profound journey of healing and transformation.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Joni Mitchell, Norah Jones, Fiest, and Mazzy Star, her music blends folk, blues, and country with introspective lyrics exploring themes of love and empowerment.
All songs are written and performed by Mardi and produced by Sean Carey at Church St Studios with the intention to evoke the atmosphere at Chakana Day Spa + Wellbeing, creating a soundscape experienced within the treatment.
Each track is composed to gently rearrange and align the vital power centres of the body. Her music takes her clients on a deeper journey, engaging all senses, opening a gateway for them to feel more, to heal through sound.
