Emerging onto the pop music scene with their enchanting harmonies and captivating melodies, twins Mia and Ava Duggan-Sorbara, collectively known as Idol Minds, are set to unveil their latest single, ‘Needed You’, on Friday, March 8th.
With three singles to date, the duo have showcased a variety of sounds and styles from blood-pumping and intoxicating electro-pop to gentle, ballad-like soul. Naturally, each track has Mia and Ava graciously in sync as they share lead and backing vocal lines and elegantly harmonise with each other.

Dropping their fourth single and their first under their new stage name Idol Minds, ‘Needed You’ (produced by Shane Jarvie-Kohn) navigates the modern complexities of love and relationships and understanding one’s own identity within said relationship. Filled with heartfelt emotion the track is a tense and moody downtempo, RnB/Soul/Pop number with a belting finale.
The laid-back beat and sparse instrumentation led by gleaming piano phrases feel nostalgic, falling in line with slower RnB hits of bygone eras. Pushing and pulling with a heartaching passion, the intensity of the duo’s vocal deliveries builds, culminating in an evocative and powerful display of their talents.
Vulnerable and impassioned ‘Needed You’, as stated by Mia, “encapsulates the rollercoaster of emotions that come with love. It’s about the journey of discovering oneself through the highs and lows of relationships.”
Idol Minds show a lot of promise with their new single ‘Needed You’, setting themselves up for plenty more to come in 2024. ‘Needed You’ is out everywhere on March 8th.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
