The southern hemisphere’s biggest music industry event is back!
Now in its 23nd year, BIGSOUND has grown to become the largest dedicated music showcase and conference event of its type in Australia. Across three game-changing days and three fun-filled nights, showcasing acts can connect with, listen to and play in front of some of the most influential players in music.
This BIGSOUND will welcome tastemakers from across the globe including media, A&R, agents, promoters, music supervisors, buyers and so much more.
With alumni including G Flip, Gang of Youths, Flume, Tash Sultana, Sampa the Great, Courtney Barnett, Cub Sport, Violent Soho, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Baker Boy, Spacey Jane, The Jungle Giants, Thelma Plum, Tones and I and many more, BIGSOUND has become a rite of passage for Australian musicians breaking out onto the world stage.
With BIGSOUND 2024 artist applications opening today, QMusic and BIGSOUND CEO Kris Stewart states:
“We are calling for diverse acts of all genres, signed and unsigned, emerging and established – BIGSOUND’s role is to create opportunities for artists, so if you’re ready to play in front of industry reps from all over the world, we urge you to apply.”
And with that in mind, we’re pleased to announce that artist applications for BIGSOUND 2024 are now open.

Meet the 2024 Music Programmers
BIGSOUND welcomes industry figureheads Casey O’Shaughnessy (Select Music) and Katie Rynne (Village Sounds) as the new BIGSOUND Music Programmers.
The title of BIGSOUND Music Programmer requires a level of knowledge and connection to the Australian and global music industry uniquely found in the duo’s three decades of combined experience.
Casey O’Shaughnessy is one of the country’s most in-demand senior booking agents, working at Australia’s largest independent agency, Select Music. She represents a roster of Australian, NZ, USA and EU artists, building some of Australia’s most successful touring acts across all genres, ranging from acts in the infancy of their careers to multi-platinum, festival headlining and major award winning acts.
A fellow alum of Select Music, Katie Rynne now serves as a senior booking agent at Village Sounds, a Sydney-based agency under the Secret Sounds Group umbrella that oversees beloved festivals like Splendour In The Grass and Harvest Rock. Katie represents a roster that includes Something For Kate, Wafia, Alex Cameron, Sycco, Bad//Dreems, Miiesha & The Lazy Eyes amongst others.

AMNPLIFY – ML
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
