Fresh from performing shows in London, New York, LA and SXSW Austin, and off the back of announcing an epic Tones And I and Young Franco Coke Studio collaboration, New Zealand artist and producer, CHAII, releases ‘Night Like This’.
Following on from, ‘Fun’, ‘Main Thing’ and ‘Drippin In Gold’, ‘Night Like This’ is CHAII’s fourth song from her upcoming debut album, Safar. Once again produced by Frank Keys, CHAII describes ‘Night Like This’, as “Expressing two sides: the social butterfly, feeling like a boss and confident one minute, then craving chill solitude the next.”
In line with previous releases, the DIY video for ‘Night Like This’ was produced and directed by CHAII, along with a team of friends from New Zealand and Los Angeles.

To top off an already packed year, Coca-Cola is bringing its globally renowned platform, Coke Studio, to Australia and New Zealand, and as part of this they’ve invited Tones And I, Young Franco and CHAII to collaborate on a brand-new song together. Fans can follow the journey on social media and via the Coke Studio Hub, where they’ll have unprecedented access to see the song and music video being created from start to finish. It’s an exciting opportunity for CHAII and her collaborators, with the song tipped to transcend geographical borders, backgrounds and music genres to reach audiences worldwide.

In addition to the support from Coca-Cola, CHAII’s songs have also been featured in soundtracks for FIFA, Fortnite and Tony Hawk, advertising campaigns for iPhone, FENDI and KIA and used in Marvel’s Ms Marvel, Inventing Anna, Wellmania and Netflix original film The Old Guard. Plus, she’s been supported heavily across both Spotify and Apple Music playlists.
Now, with her debut album, Safar, slated to be released on Friday 2 August, CHAII is gearing up for some Australian headline shows. You can catch her perform live at Low 302 in Sydney and Gaso Upstairs in Melbourne.
