There’s no slowing down for rising superstar G Flip as they release their latest project, drumless, out now via Future Classic. The innovative EP features five tracks from their critically acclaimed and ARIA #1 album DRUMMER, reimagined unexpectedly, without the drums.

Showcasing G Flip’s versatility and musical mastery, drumless transforms the energetic pulse of 2023 Hottest 100 #2 winner, ‘The Worst Person Alive,’ into a slowed-down, introspective rendition, while also reshaping the ARIA Award-winning ‘Good Enough’ into a stripped-back, emotional ballad.  

Of the release, G shares “I wrote my album ‘DRUMMER’ from the drums up, so I thought it would be a fun experiment to reimagine some of my favourite songs on the album without drumkit. I love playing with arrangements, switching genres, changing tempos and keys, so it was a lot of fun messing around with all the songs to make them different and drumless. I’m very proud of this cheeky project and hope you enjoy it mates.”

It’s been a massive 12 months for G Flip, with the release of their ARIA #1 Album DRUMMER, A sold-out Australian headline tour, two ARIA Award wins, a record-breaking number of placements in triple j’s 2023 Hottest 100 countdown and an iconic Like A Version of Taylor Swift’s ‘Cruel Summer’. About G FLIP

G Flip is becoming the role model they never had growing up. The rising superstar makes the kind of high-powered rock/pop music that could only come from the heart and mind of a drummer. The Australian drummer/singer/songwriter/producer matches their potent musicianship with equal parts sonic originality and fantastically outspoken point-of-view (an element informed by their experience as a queer, non-binary artist).  Their sophomore album, DRUMMER (released in August 2023), cemented their status as a truly singular force of nature. The album shot to #1 on the ARIA charts, was named triple j’s best album of the year, and propelled G to their largest sold-out Australian tour and first US headline tour. The album received 6 ARIA nominations and 2 wins at the 2023 awards, including the award for best live act. DRUMMER also saw a whopping 7 songs land in triple j’s Hottest 100, breaking the record for most entries ever by an artist in a single year.
