“I’ve always loved Olympia’s guitar tone. There’s so much to love about Olympia frankly, her voice, her personality, the energy in the tunes, this kinda pop-smartness. Sophisticated music but it’s also sorta fun” – Tim Shiel, Double J
“Olympia is not afraid to break a few rules and that’s where the greatness comes from.” Double J
“A new heroine as all our heroes die.” Herald Sun
“Substance and style meet at the intersection of sonic artistry” Digital High (US)

Olympia invites you into her striking and unusual world with three extremely limited intimate solo shows to celebrate her Love For One EP, including the release of her brand new and highly personal song, ‘Everybody Leaves’.
Written in the wake of her Father passing, Olympia explains that ‘Everybody Leaves’ should make you feel a little uncomfortable, saying “It’s like sitting alone in an airport with the sound of people greeting each other echoing across the expanse of tiles. Of being stationary within a world of movement. Of planes looping around the globe and families reuniting and folding into their cars to go home and reconnect, while your heart is completely broken and you wish the world would just stop for a moment.”
In line with previous Olympia releases, the beautifully minimalistic music video for ‘Everybody Leaves’ was once again directed by the incredibly talented Alex O Smith (Peaches, Iggy Pop, Kylie) and brings to life the raw emotion of the song.

Following on from ‘Try Be Good’ and ‘Creep’, ‘Everybody Leaves’ is the third single from Olympia’s Love For One EP, which comes out on Olympia’s own record label, Reach Around Records.
Marking a new beginning for the Melbourne-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, the EP was recorded with long-time collaborator Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett, Julia Jacklin) during a bleak London winter which was brimming with COVID and grief around the death of Olympia’s much-loved Father. These songs were born in a world of loss, laminated tablecloths, coming to terms with physical limitations and the clanking of dishes (Burke’s partner willing them to finish recording for the day).
Written in the dust of artists’ such as Hannah Wilke, Agnes Martin and writer Chris Kraus, this collection of songs is about a woman discovering who she really is, through explorations of female artists and the female gaze, while being intimate, full of charm, abject loss and the sharing of a more authentic self, all at once. This, paired with percussive loops, Olympia’s signature melodies and metaphors come together to build a unique world of candy floss, sticky carpets and tissue boxes by the bed that make up this truly affecting Love For One EP.
Prior to this, Olympia released two studio albums to international critical acclaim including Flamingo (2019) and Self Talk (2016), an album that was nominated for an ARIA award, shortlisted in the Australian Music Prize and selected as triple j Feature Album. She has been heavily championed on triple j, Double J and community radio nationally, as well as made a big impact in the international music community with airplay on Radio 1, BBC 6 (UK), FLUX FM (GR) and more.
Known for her striking and visceral live performances, Olympia will now play three intimate solo shows to a handful of lucky fans to hear songs from her Love For One EP live for the very first time, before embarking on a full-band national tour later in the year. You can catch her in Melbourne, Castlemaine and Sydney, where Olympia will showcase some new and unreleased work, as well as treat you to some special surprise guests.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
