Sydney based songweaver OFRI has released her highly anticipated debut album ‘That Heavy Magnetism’, which was premiered exclusively via AAA Backstage.
The sublime album is the culmination of years of hard work, with many a life-defining experience woven throughout. There’s a sense of growth and expansion, intimacy and space, inevitability, vulnerability, and quite a bit of existentialism. It’s part 90s Art-Pop revivalism, part Lilith Fair, part freak Folk, and yet completely, utterly Ofri.

Ofri burst onto the scene earlier this year with the release of her debut single ‘Body’, which was the first offering from her new debut album. She then quickly followed up with the release of singles ‘Painting By Numbers’ and ‘Candy’, giving fans a taste of her brand of chamber folk.
After almost half a decade of incubation, Ofri is now ready to unveil her debut album to the world.

After almost half a decade of incubation, Sydney based songweaver Ofri is now ready to unveil her debut album. ‘That Heavy Magnetism’ is the culmination of years of hard work, with many a life-defining experience woven throughout. There’s a sense of growth and expansion, intimacy and space, inevitability, vulnerability, and quite a bit of existentialism. It’s part 90s Art-Pop revivalism, part Lilith Fair, part freak Folk, and yet completely, utterly Ofri.

Even more immediately noticeable than her frankness is her voice, a wild animal which can inhabit every corner of expression: raw emotionality to heartfelt delicacy with every shade in-between. It’s precisely that assured confidence – those idiosyncrasies of a voice well- worn – that imbues her songwriting with a richness and clarity of concept.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
