Building a cult following in their hometown of Newcastle – Lost Plaza at their core are an amalgamation of high-octane riffs, off-kilter grooves, and a healthy dose of humour laced in throughout their works.
‘Amazon’ captures all these elements and takes you on a sonic rollercoaster through the chaos of frontman Zane Fleming’s thoughts and opinions on spiritual gambling, greed & the dystopian nature of Jeff Bezos and Amazon.
Collaborating with long time friend & producer Darcy Long, (Shady Nasty, Dead Mall) Lost Plaza have been able to create a piece of work packed full of fuzzed out vocals, hypnotic riffs, chaotic groove changes and infused it with overall raucous energy, drawing influences from acts like Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Rage Against The Machine, King Gizzard & Polaris.
“The idea of ‘Amazon’ originally developed from my experience at Crown Casino in Melbourne playing roulette. I was freshly 18 & had no clue how to gamble. That night was my first & only spiritual experience as a voice in my head kept telling me to bet on red. Fast forward 5 years & the band took this track into the studio. The only lyrics I had were a placeholder for a melody I wanted to try. Unfortunately for me my brain chose the phrase ‘Your package has arrived from Amazon’ which I found impossible to change after using it so much in rehearsal” ZANE FLEMING – LOST PLAZA
Since the release of their EP “Menagerie” last year, Lost Plaza have recently peaked the interest of Triple J lunch Presenter Dave Woodhead with their track ‘Sasquatch’, leading to spins on the National Broadcaster multiple times, as well as plays on American radio network 88.9 FM Anaheim.
Accompanying this release is a music video the outfit shot with local creative Mason Ellis, producing a light hearted and humorous video that parodies gambling culture.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.

I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
