Have you always wanted to be an artist? When did you get the song writing bug?
Yeah I’ve always loved music and started playing guitar when I was 7. My brothers also got into rapping and we all made songs together from a young age so it was always something I wanted to do. My brother would ask me for a beat for his raps so I would drop the beatbox and guitar for him and he was good at lyric writing. A recipe that worked on our track “These Kids”

Briefly describe your journey to date.
Grew up playing guitar drums and beatboxing. started recording tracks at young age, got seen doing my thing on TV and the rest is history!

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think fans resonate with your music?
My sound is a mix of my musical history combining HipHop inspired beats with melodic guitar pieces and vocals on top. I like to mix different styles like blues, RnB, Latin Vibes and Rock

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
I grew up in the 90’s so pretty much all 90’s HipHop as well as Guitar and Rock Legends that the older generation would listen to like Eric Clapton, BB King, George Benson, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix etc…

Your latest single ‘These Kids’ has just been released! What’s it all about? Describe its origin and evolution.
This Is the 20 Year Anniversary Remix of our 2004 Hit. With new beats By QUIX and new raps by DubLT to talk about social issues that are happening today. The track is a commentary about the issues that we see with youth today in Australia who have had hard upbringings, lack direction in life and as a result have gotten involved in crime and gang violence.

Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
Sure is! Got more music ready and more music in the works.
What tours and events are coming up? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect? I’m performing at the Australian Beatbox Championships in November and fans and followers will be able to get upcoming show dates from my official social media accounts.

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
Michael Jackson because he’s……….Michael Jackson
What are your long-term aspirations as a music artist and how are you progressing towards them? I want to make music that resonates with people, keep working on my craft and getting better as a musician as there’s always more to learn!

.

.

With that in mind, what piece of advice would you give to an artist starting out?
To spend time curating your skills and have fun while doing it. Music is for everyone to enjoy so believe in yourself and get out there and you’ll find people that resonate with you!

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
The feeling of being “in the zone” on stage and knowing that people in the audience are having a good time. There’s been many great moments on stage but a few are beatboxing live on TV at The Sydney Opera House for the Australian Idol Grand Final! Beatboxing on stage with Public Enemy in front of Thousands of people at the RiverFire Festival and Performing in Germany at the 2005 World Beatbox Championships and becoming the first World Beatbox Champion as well as many festivals.

Here are three general questions your fans will find interesting about you:

  1. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done? Eating 28 slices of pizza plus 3 plates of food at “All You Can Eat” Pizza Hut……When I was 13!

  2. What is the one topic you can talk about for hours? UAP’s aka UFO’s

  3. What is the thing you like most about yourself? My ability to realise theres always more to learn as a musician
