Townsville based Indie/Punk Rockers Poison Oak are back again with the release of their anthemic new single ‘Tell Me’, which premiered exclusively via AAA Backstage. The single is the second offering from their upcoming album release.

“Tell Me is a song about asking where someone has gone, not necessarily in a physical sense, but in a spiritual and mental sense. They’re present, but not the person they used to be. The song reflects on the struggles they have experienced, feeling trapped in a cycle of routine and disconnection within the suburbs, where everything looks familiar but feels empty. Dealing with the pressures of everyday life, like expectations from family or society, while facing internal struggles that others don’t see. Hence leaving them to be disconnected from who they once were.”

The band recently released their single and music video ‘Wasted’, which was the first offering from their forthcoming sophomore LP – recorded with Brock Weston (Bugs, Beddy Rays, Dune Rats). The release was premiered via The AU Review and received positive coverage from HEAVY Mag, Good Call Live, AMNplify and many more. The band then went on to support Australian heavyweights DZ Deathrays in October.

“With sweet, jangly guitars, it hits just the right arc of upbeat emotive rock, with an infectious melody running through its veins. Rousing drums and guitars riffing into the final stanza, will make this an absolute belter live.” Bruce Baker – The AU Review
New single ‘Tell Me’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
