“DIP ME IN HONEY is about dependency and addiction, being simultaneously aware of the negatives of substance abuse and unwilling to quit due to the perceived positives. Continuing the same habits that keep you skint and paranoid, but still feeling a level of infatuation and adoration towards them.” – Sonic Reducer

Sonic Reducer, a four-piece punk outfit making powerful and cathartic music from Canberra, burst onto the Australian music scene in 2022 with a mission to challenge the status quo. Comprising Cormac (vocals), Lachlan (drums), Ryleigh (guitar) and Louie (bass), this young band has quickly become a force to be reckoned with in the punk community. Their music serves as a platform to preach anti-lad culture and oppose toxic masculinity, offering a refreshing perspective in the punk landscape.
Despite their youth – all members are just 21 years old – Sonic Reducer has already achieved impressive milestones. Their debut EP SKEWBALL, released in 2024, garnered critical acclaim and significant airplay on triple j and other radio stations such as Triple R, 4ZZZ and 2XX FM. The band’s live performances are nothing short of electrifying, earning them a reputation for intense shows that leave audiences craving more.
Sonic Reducer’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed in the industry. They’ve been nominated for “Independent Debut of the Year” at the MAMAs (MusicACT Music Awards) and frontman Cormac clinched the “Best Live Voice” award at the 2023 NLMAs. More recently, they have been nominated for both “Best Live Act” and “Artist of the Year” at the 2024 MAMAs. Their rising star status is further evidenced by sold-out headline shows and packed performances at Bigsound 2024, as well as wrapping up the year supporting Royel Otis on a sold out EU/UK tour.
The band has shared stages with Australian punk heavyweights, touring with Cosmic Psychos and supporting acts like Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Pacific Avenue and Full Flower Moon Band. They’ve also graced the stage of Sydney’s iconic Metro Theatre twice, cementing their place in the Australian punk scene.
Sonic Reducer continues to push boundaries and challenge expectations. In a world of conformity, they stand as a beacon of authenticity, delivering a refreshing dose of vulnerability played at high volume.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
