About MOODYMANN:
Kenny Dixon Jr aka Moodymann has emerged as one of Detroit’s most enigmatic and most successful house producers. Perfecting a unique blend of samples and original instrumentation, KDJ’s music is different and more original than typical house. Drenched in soul, funk, and jazz, KDJ gathers the full force of his musical influences and recontextualises them within the house genre. His material ranges from the slow and moody to the upbeat and energetic.
The production and musician skills that he retains put him in a class of his own with many trying to mimic his music but not quite managing to reach the same emotion that is always apparent in his tracks. In his own words, he best describes his music on the track ‘Radio’ from his 1998 album Mahogany Brown: “I don’t make music for the masses to dance to, I’m not one for taking the limelight but preferring the music to take the exposure and do the talking.”
The mysterious Moodymann began his production career in the early ’90s, and set up his independent label KDJ Records in 1994 with the first release being the Moody Trax EP and then following up with the great and now classic releases like “The Day We Lost The Soul”, a tribute to one of his heroes Marvin Gaye, “I Can’t Kick This Feelin’ When It Hits”, “Don’t Be Misled”, and many more.
While he may frustrate people with his refusal to be interviewed, and his insistence on reminding people of the genre’s origins, it is a certainty that his music is groundbreaking, and the brilliance of his unique underground sound appeals to all ears.
About MARCEL DETTMANN:
DJ and producer Marcel Dettmann is recognised as one of the most influential proponents of contemporary techno. Widely associated with iconic places – Berlin, Berghain, and Hard Wax – Dettmann stays true to his roots by consistently innovating his interpretation of electronic music, integrating art with the scene.
Active since the mid-90s, Dettmann quests tirelessly for new ways and inspiration to further develop his own concept of electronic music. His labels MDR (Marcel Dettmann Records) and Bad Manners serve as a platform upon which to shape his musical vision, and through its releases launch new talent onto the techno scene. As a curator and producer, Dettmann fosters the call to create in a way which is equally timeless and innovative. His own releases comprise three albums on Ostgut Ton and, most recently, his first album in 10 years, Fear of Programming, via Dekmantel Records.
Outside the club context, Marcel Dettmann has established himself as a multi-faceted artist. He designed the sound concept for new works, an exhibition of photographer Frederike Von Rauch, contributed to the contemporary dance project Masse – together with Frank Wiedemann and choreographer Nadja Saidakowa in cooperation with Berghain and the Berlin State Ballet. His single “Seduction feat. Erika” provided the soundtrack to director and screenwriter Parker Ellerman’s short film of the same name. He has further contributed to the soundtrack of ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ by Lana Wachowski in 2021.
About CARL CRAIG:
Carl Craig is a multi-disciplined visionary whose eclectic tastes and influences all converge into his “main discipline” Carl Craig. The Detroit pioneer’s lifelong pursuit of independence and self-gratification is the catalyst behind three decades of innovation and achievement within the realm of electronic music. As a producer and performer, Carl’s history is well-documented. Under a variety of aliases, he has produced six LPs, with his back catalogue including credits over 600 remixes for a diverse cross section of electronic music artists. In 2008, Carl’s tireless remix work was recognised at the Grammys, where he was nominated for his rework of Junior Boys “Like A Child”.
Forever an ambassador for his hometown, Carl pays homage to Motor City with his Detroit Love compilations and events while also spearheading the city’s electronic music festival at the turn of the millennium, and also runs his own artist agency, Detroit Premiere Artists. Carl’s creative dedication to black excellence and the championing of its creative leaders has led to a series of educational projects in recent years, including partnerships with Beatport and Apple Music, as well as speaking on the Black experience’s impact on his wide-reaching artistry at NYU and Michigan State University earlier this year.
His contribution to global electronic music culture has been vast. Despite widespread critical acclaim and success, he continues to inject his innovative energy into everything he does, establishing a legacy that will stand long after the wheels of his car finally fall off.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
