Fast rising Perth duo, Old Mervs, are gifting fans an early holiday treat with their brand-new single ‘See You Again’. It’s another taste of what’s to come from the indie-rock duo’s widely anticipated self-titled debut album, Old Mervs set for release on Friday March 21. (Dew Process/UMA)
The punchy ‘See You Again’ drops as bandmates Dave House (guitar and lead vocals) and Henry Carrington-Jones (drums, backing vocals) get set to perform tonight at The Left Bank, Fremantle for XMAS EVE 2024 festival.
‘See You Again’ was written by Dave and Henry and it picks up where previous single ‘Parched’, with its big sonic flexes and heavy tones, left off. Recorded in Byron Bay with ARIA award-winning producer Chris Collins (Matt Corby, Royel Otis, Alex Lahey), ‘See You Again’ propels with House’s vocals piercing through streams of ringing guitars before blooming into thundering garage rock.
Old Mervs have wrapped up the year with a string of exciting live performances. As a follow-up to their largest-ever headline tour across Australia and New Zealand (How The Fark Are Ya? Tour), the lads from the small town of Kojonup (W.A), made their UK live debut with headline shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Falmouth, and a smashing SOLD-OUT London show. On the local front, this month they appeared at Rolling Sets Festival and Changing Tides Festival.
As one of the most exciting debut albums to be dropped in 2025, Old Mervs LP surges from shimmering Australian indie to chugging Brit-pop to gorgeously woozy ‘90s West Coast alt-rock. ‘See You Again’ is the fourth taste of new music from their 11-track debut album, and succeeds singles ‘Parched’, ‘What
You’ve Lost’, and ‘Forget It’. The new singles have garnered over 2 million streams combined and were added to playlists across Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon. Old Mervs have been praised by local press, Rolling Stone Australia, The Music, Beat Magazine, and The West, while receiving airplay support from SYN Radio, RTR, Radio Adelaide, Triple M and triple j, noting ‘What You’ve Lost’ and ‘Parched’ both held the #1 Most Played track on triple j.OLD MERVS

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
