Australian folk trio, The Inadequates, unveil their next single ‘Lethe River’ on Thursday, July 24, offering a stirring preview of their upcoming debut album ‘Haven’t You Heard’.

The Inadequates have been dubbed ‘the best-dressed band on the folk scene’ by the Cobargo Folk Festival, where one of their many colourful performances took place.
Their single debut, ‘The New Sensation’, on July 3 may have been a recent release, but the band’s experience is undeniable with a trail of gigs at festivals and venues that have attracted them an enthusiastic fanbase.
With 12 tracks of tight 3 part harmonies, complex and intricate multi-instrumentalism, high energy, and rich emotive cores, their debut album, ‘Haven’t You Heard’, is the culmination of their efforts over the last two years. Out on Thursday, August 28, their debut album is just around the corner.

The second single release before their upcoming album is ‘Lethe River’: a stripped back, honest song. Its gentle mandolin, charmed guitar, and accordion captures the feeling of a venetian river cruise, decorated with multi-part harmonies that bring a sadness to the romantic instrumentals.
‘Lethe River’ is based on the mythical river of the same name, a river said to wipe the memories of those who come into contact with it in preparation for the afterlife. A liquid forgetfulness is something a lot of people turn to after life’s challenges as they aim to find solace from their sorrows in booze. This song captures the raw vulnerability of grief, whether it’s from a loved one, a missed opportunity, or a relationship, wrapping the listener in its comforting melodies.
Get swept away by ‘Lethe River’, the second single release of The Inadequates when it drops Thursday, July 24, ahead of the release of their debut album ‘Haven’t You Heard’ on Thursday, August 28.
Then, The Inadequates will be taking their folk tunes and debut album on tour throughout September and October. More information below.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
