Frontier Touring and Penny Drop are excited to announce the debut Australian tour for Brooklyn band Momma for January 2026.
With the release of their new album Welcome to My Blue Sky (April 2025), Momma cemented their place as one of the most exciting voices in indie rock. They’ll kick off 2026 with an East Coast tour, making stops in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Like so many coming-of-age stories that leave a long-lasting impact, Momma’s new album Welcome to My Blue Sky takes place during a charmed and turbulent summer — a transformative moment in time that co-founders Etta Friedman and Allegra Weingarten sum up as a period of “parallel chaos.” Produced by bassist Aron Kobayashi Ritch and featuring Preston Fulks on drums, the Brooklyn-based band’s fourth LP documents all the life-altering upheaval its two singer-songwriter guitarists experienced during a whirlwind mid-2022 tour — all captured across 12 immaculately composed yet immediately potent songs. Each track, including standout single ‘I Want You (Fever)’, which saw them make their TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, is infused with sensitivity and unsparing self-awareness. The result is a bold leap forward for one of the most creatively uncompromising and distinctive talents in indie rock.

Welcome to My Blue Sky marks the follow-up to Household Name, Momma’s critically acclaimed 2022 release that solidified their rise. Praised by outlets like Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Stereogum, Paste, NYLON, and The FADER, and building momentum through tours with Alex G, beabadoobee, Wet Leg, as well as appearances at Coachella and Primavera Sound, the band’s ascent shows no signs of slowing. Momma are currently on tour across the US, UK, and Europe, playing their biggest venues to date.
Joining Momma on their first Australian tour is Melbourne band Armlock. Friends for 14 years, Lam (vocals and guitar) and Mitchell (guitar and keyboards) have been in their fair share of musical projects together and apart. The two met studying jazz at Monash University in Melbourne, eventually discovering a shared love of electronic music. After playing in a handful of electronic and dance outfits (I’lls, Couture, Kllo) the two began incorporating guitar into the music they were making for the first time.
On their new album, Seashell Angel Lucky Charm, the duo take you through a steady ascension into heavenly sonic realms, making the ear candy choruses on tracks like ‘Fear’ and ‘El Oh Vee Ee’, which feel like expertly placed moments of guitar pop bliss.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
